BABY SLEEP PROJECT

This project aims to assess some new resources to help families with their baby’s sleep.
We recently published our protocol for this study in the BMJ Open
The first part of the study is to understand your experiences of parenting and your baby’s sleep. This involves answering an online survey twice – first when your baby is 3-4 weeks old and again when they are 8-10 weeks old. The survey is about how you feel about being a parent, and about where and how babies sleep, related to the advice you might have heard to do with cot death, or Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). SIDS is when a baby dies suddenly, usually during sleep.
The second part of the study is to assess some new resources to help families with their babies sleep. As part of this project we have worked closely with families to develop these resources and we would like to find out if they are useful. These resources will be provided to you by your health care professional, who will decide which resources are suitable for your family. You can see, and use the resources without taking part in the study. We may also ask if you would like to take part in a short interview with a researcher to tell us what you thought about them.
If you do decide to take part, we will send you a £10 voucher for completing both surveys, and a further £20 voucher if you decide to take part in an interview.
