Thank you for your patience while we get our study website up and running. Here is some information and our contact details in the meantime.

The Baby Sleep Project is a series of research projects run at the University of Bristol. The research will help support families with sleep when their babies are very young.

There are 2 studies starting soon!

Study 1: Survey and interviews – we would like to find out how families look after babies, including mothers, fathers, partners, grandparents and friends. We will invite anyone over 16 looking after a baby under 1 to complete a survey online. From there, we will invite some people to take part in a longer interview to find out more about the challenges they face and the support they need.

Study 2: The Baby Sleep Planner – we are developing an online tool to help families to plan where and how the baby will sleep on busy nights, when sometimes the normal routine doesn’t work! The tool will help families plan for maximum rest and maximum safety – the research will ask the best way to do this and involve families in helping us design and test the tool.

All our research works best if families help advise and guide us – we need you!

We are particularly keen to hear from families who had their babies young, and who may have had some extra help from their health visitor or a social worker. If you would like to get involved, please contact us!
